      Hello,

I’m a nurse practitioner and brand new to working with this population and in biomedical therapy. I have a mother with a son who has ASD and is anxious to get started. I’m not sure when to take him on as a client. I have purchased the clinical rounds but have not started yet since we’re only into module 4. When do you think it would be appropriate to start seeing clients? Should I start the clinical rounds now? I’m a little overwhelmed starting a virtual practice so I hope this course helps to get all my ducks in a row! Thanks in advance!

        Maggie,
There is nothing like jumping right in and getting going in my opinion. My suggestion is to start seeing people right away. It is okay if you do not have all the answers and to admit this to a family, but that you are learning and willing to learn overtime. Most parents just want to know they have someone in their corner that is willing to work with them.

        Sincerely,
        Dr. Woeller
