      Dr. Woeller,
      Today we went to the immunologist to diagnose PANDAS. Because my son has become scared of needles we didn’t manage to get a blood sample. We are now going to have him sedated for this and will do a bigger test as we don’t want to have to repeat sedating him for blood testing. We are also going to check most likely certain metabolic problems. My son has the following snp’s SHMT/C140T +/- ; ACAT/1-02 +/- ; MTHFR/C677T++ ;MTRR/A66G ++ ; MTRR/11 ++ ; BHMT/1 ++ ; COMT/V158M +/_ ; COMT/H62H +/- ; VDR/Taq1 ++ ; VDR/Fok1 +/- ; MAO A/R297R ++

      She is testing for the IG markers( IGM-total,IGA-total,IGG total plus subclasses), ALAT,ASAT, Creatinine (incl eGFR), HT/leuco/diff,, CRP ,ANA and compleet screening. I was wondering if you would recommend certain other blood tests?

        Gaby,
        Make sure to get ASO (antisteptolysin O) and Anti-DNAse B titers.

        Also, I would suggest the following as well:

        -Total Cholesterol
        -Serum Iron and Ferritin
        -TSH, Free T3, Free T4, anti-TPO
        -25(OH)D – vitamin D
