      dr Woeller,

      Do you know if the opioid peptides from milk and gluten are broken down by CYP2D6 or CYP3A4, and if these are mutated there would be less breakdown of the peptides and bigger problems with opioid peptides?

        CYP2D6 is definitely involved in drug metabolism. It is also involved in neurosteroid metabolism too.

        I don’t know specifically if this information is known, but its a interesting question. There may be an issue, but I am not certain. It seems plausible.
