In my labs I have access to getting the NutrEval at a greatly discounted rate and runnning it through insurance. It comes with other results as well. We just got this arrangement in the last 2 months. Could you give me you insights on this OAT test with other markers? I have my notes scribled on it, unforntunatly I don’t have access to an electronic version of it.
Dr. Hartman,
I actually feel it is a pretty good test. Certainly provides some worthwhile information. The clostridia markers are deficient unfortunately, and there is no oxalate or quinolinic acid that I could see. The clostridia, i.e. 4-cresol and HPHPA, and oxalate are the three main missing factors that I can see that have a lot of clinical relevance overall.
