Where is the best place to find research behind testing food sensitivity with IgG? I have read on UpToDate listing IgG food testing as unvalidated. Thanks!

      Todd,
Bill Shaw, Ph.D has some good articles on this topic. Go to http://www.greatplainslaboratory.com and look under the ‘resource’ link. From there go to either ‘articles’ and ‘brochures.’ You will be able to find somethings there.

The comment about Food IgG being totally invalid is completely incorrect. However, what needs to happen is for testing of Total IgG, and not just IgG4. If a lab is only testing IgG4 than this type of test can be considered invalid since IgG4 is a blocking antibody against IgE, and it is an immune recognition marker to food, but it does not indicate sensitivity.
