age 2-6: what is the best and not risky way to lower fever ?
age 6-12? age 13-18?

If it is deemed appropriate to lower fever then Ibuprofen, at age appropriate recommendations, is effective and safe in my experience. It is a short-term use of this over-the-counter medication. Feverfew is a herb that may help, but I have not found it as effective as Ibuprofen.
