Hi Dr Woeller, a mother I’m working with for her 11-year-old autistic son has asked my opinion on MeRT for autism. I don’t have any experience with it or know enough about it to comment. I wondered what your thoughts would be on this matter? If she goes ahead with this, My feelings are that I could still work on the functional medicine side to support him, he is just starting a candida protocol. Thanks, Alison

I do not have a lot of people who have done this therapy, but I do know it has been helpful for some with regards to brain balancing, anxiety, etc. In my experience, other things that you are doing biomedically like dietary intervention, supplements, candida protocol and more can continue and are overall supportive.Dr. Woeller
