In children with potential vaccine reactions, what do you find most helpful in mitigating the damage?

In children that are going to be vaccinated, do you recommend anything be done before and after to minimize any negative impacts?

What do you suggest to your patients in terms of vaccinations, schedules, etc.?

    Thanks,
    Scott

      Scott,
There is a company called Apex Energetics. They carry a line of products that are homeopathic preparations that are designed to support the body with regards to vaccines – although they are not promoted that way, nor do I even suggest that they are 100% preventable against any type of reaction.

In general I make no claims that any of these following suggestions are 100% preventable or curative if a parents decide to vaccinate. These are health promoting suggestions only:

-optimizing vitamin D3 between 50 to 70. As a general maintenance dose of Vitamin D3 1000 to 2000 IU per 25 lbs body weight daily works well.
      -Vitamin C 1000mg daily
      -Vitamin E – 200 IU daily
-Essential fatty acids such as Cod Liver Oil – 1 to 2 teaspoons daily
-Reduce or eliminate refined sugar and junk food
-avoid getting vaccinated if currently ill, i.e. cold or flu.
-Avoid pre-dosing with acetaminophen or post-vaccination dosing with acetaminophen. Attempt to use Ibuprofen instead if child with high fever.

Vaccine schedule alternative – I suggest parents read the book by Dr. Sears “The Vaccine Book.” He is a pediatrician and takes a balanced view of vaccinations.
