NY pt- testing

I had my first NY pt today. The OAT test says can’t do in NY. Could I have her write down my office address as her address to try to get around it? She is ok with it not going through insurance so I don’t see that it would be technically “fraud”. Any suggestions??

You may want to call Great Plains Laboratory directly on this just to confirm, but it’s still my understanding that they will not ship or receive a test kit to the State of New York. What people commonly do is ship to an address in a neighboring state and then ship the results back to the lab from that state too.

P.S. It’s New York that has various strict regulations on test kits, so labs like Great Plains just don’t want to deal with any problems that could come from that state.
