Biocidin is a good choice. It’s a combination botanical so it hits bacteria and yeast. The reality is with candida (and some bacteria too) is that nothing works 100% of the time. It’s a highly sophisticated organism with all kinds of defense mechanisms. Therefore, for one person a supplement doesn’t help, but then in another person it works great. It’s just the nature of things. If you know your son to have die-off and suspect that it could happen it is better to start with one things, e.g. Biocidin and then layer other things in as time goes on. The nice thing about Biocidin is that it has anti-biofilm properties to it as well.
