Mag citrate/ calcium citrate powder

Calcium citrate powder says to sprinkle on food. Mag citrate powder says to dissolve in water. I know you recommended to give before meals for helping with Oxalates. Is it okay to mix both in water if they will drink it. On food or water I am thinking it taste like chalk. I have been mixing with water and she is drinking it. ( not sure she really taste anything) I have both of these from NB so I thought I would use these up before buying the mixture form. It does seem to help her as most all foods she is not allergic to have med. to high oxalates.
