    Hello Dr. Woeller,

I hope you had a wonderful Thanks Giving.

In reviewing module notes I noticed Jarrow lactoferrin binds to iron. I assume this prevents candida or bacterias from sourcing the iron for its own consumption. Is lactoferrin bound iron still readily available to the human? Does the lactoferrin also bind in similar fashion with other metals such as zinc? And what about less desirable heavy metals?

It sounds like lactoferrin may be helpful in addition to biofilm remedies, aslo for one who has a tendency to both candida and anemia.

I look forward to hearing back in more detail.

    Sincerely, Lisa Shelton

      Lisa,
I don’t know about metals with regards lactoferrin. However, it does seem to be interact with other minerals, e.g. zinc, calcium.

Yes, the purpose is to limit opportunistic pathogens from accessing these minerals.
