You mentioned that HPHPA and p-cresol are both phenol compounds that inhibit dopamine B hydroxylase? Are there artificial phenols in our environment (diet, dyes, toxins) that can do the same thing?

Most likely yes, but the only indicator I have of this is from a few papers that Dr. Shaw from Great Plains Laboratory discovered which I will be discussing in Module 6. I do believe other phenols also compromise this enzyme.
