Can a high-fat diet, such as strict Paleo, or ketogenic diet, create a fatty acid dysfunction requiring added supports?
Yes, I have seen this. It’s not a permanent problem, but I have seen on Organic Acids Test the fatty acid metabolites go up. I have mostly seen it with things like Medium Chain Triglyceride (MCT) oil or Coconut Oil (for cooking) use.
