I have many families (including myself) who have access to A2 raw cows milk. Do you know how this would reaction on IgG4 testing? If someone is + to casein on IgG4 (reacting to the A1 beta casein; implied from the lecture) can they drink A2 raw cows milk?

    Thoughts?

    Thanks

      Dr. Hartman,
I don’t know how it would react on the IgG4 test, but if it is the A2 and raw it should be fine. I have seen some children over the years who had sensitivity to the casein of A1 and B-casein who actually did fine when consuming the raw version of these milks. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come up much, and is limited by state. Also, I have seen a few kids over the years who developed kidney disease secondary to an infection from raw milk so perhaps I am bit gun shy.

      Sincerely,
      Dr. Woeller
